On 2 January, a Shramdan Shibir was organised at our Himmatgram organic farm. Students from our Snehasparsh project joined our directors and staff and a total of around 80 people were welcomed by the sound of Zanj Tasha. Our Secretary Rajiv Gujar inspired the slogan 'Saathi Haath Badhana.’ The volunteers cut the branches of Nira trees, collecting and throwing them on our dam. About one acre of Nira tree branches were cut off leaving a further two acres to be cut. Therefore it was decided to conduct Shramdan in our Himmatgram every Saturday and Sunday.
