Anmol is a fifth-grade student at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Cantonment School, hailing from the Indiranagar Seva Vasti area of Ahmednagar city. Despite growing up in a challenging environment, where his mother does household work to make ends meet and his father wrestles with addiction, Anmol's spirit shines brightly. This young boy’s story reflects tenacity, transformation and hope.
Life at home has never been easy for Anmol. The relentless struggles he faced led him to develop a habit of chewing tobacco and other harmful substances; however, his regular visits to the our Balbhavan proved to be a major turning point. There he was surrounded by positive influences and mentors who were dedicated to preventing him from following in his father's footsteps by helping him break free from the chains of addiction.
Our team of educators used innovative methods to steer Anmol in a healthier direction. They showed him videos about the severe consequences of tobacco use and cancer, which opened his eyes to the damage he was doing to himself and his future. This awakening sparked a change in Anmol, helping him to finally quit his addictive habits.
As time passed, Anmol embraced life with renewed motivation. He began focusing on his studies, building healthy relationships and, importantly, he achieved victory over his previous vices. His story has become a beacon of inspiration for many, reminding us all that with hope, change is possible.
Anmol’s journey can be summarized in two powerful messages: "Change begins where there is a glimpse of hope," and "When fate falls short, hard work takes the lead!"
