Snehalaya has been working to improve the health of women and children for over 33 years. In 2017, Snehalaya opened our Caring Friends Hospital and Research Centre (CFHRC) for the benefit of all. With 50 beds, we provide health facilities at very affordable rates, including consultations with our on-site and visiting doctors, bed, counselling, nursing, all meals and tea and free daily transfers in our hospital ambulance from Ahmednagar's District Hospital between 10am and 1pm.
In addition to this, our hospital team visits outlying villages conducting free health camps, which include physical check-ups of all, particularly children, senior citizens and women diagnosing symptoms of bigger health issues through diabetes checks, BP, oxygen level, weight, pulse, temperature, HB and we also identify blood groups. All tests and medicines are free and we counsel and refer patients for further treatment.
This outreach is essential and prevents more serious conditions in rural communities where health is often neglected, especially among women. These health camps are now a regular part of of our hospital program and scine October 2022 we have achieved the following:
Camps conducted - 24
Total number of patients examined - 2,778
Total lab investigations completed - 2,128
