A huge thank you to the Indian Society at Imperial College London who put on a dazzling show to celebrate all things fashion, drama, music and dance whilst raising around £2,000 (Rs 2 lakh) in funds that will go towards educating girls at Snehalaya.
It was a jam-packed program full of colour and Indian culture, you can view images from the event here.
Our Snehalaya UK trustees Harshna Karsan, Sarah Kenning and Laura Hyrapetian represented us at the event enjoying all the entertainment and thanking the students for their efforts to support our work.
This is the second event the Indian Society has hosted in support of Snehalaya and we are incredibly grateful to all who participated and raised such an incredible amount for our girls. The students also organised a Just Bollywood event last December, you can read more about it here. Thank you so much for having us and choosing Snehalaya!
Events like these not only keep us going they also help fulfil our mission of creating the next generation of social workers and we are proud to work with students nationally and internationally through volunteering, events and the creation of Snehalaya chapters in schools, colleges and universities. If you would like to follow in Imperial Colleges footsteps, please get in touch at give@snehalaya.org.
